  • Selected customers may take garments out on approval for a maximum of 24 hours.
  • Once the garment leaves The Mill House, it becomes the sole responsibility of the customer, and the customer bears the liability for any loss or damage.
  • Any returned items must be in their original condition, unworn and with all tags attached.
  • If any conditions are not met, the garment will be considered sold.
  • Items purchased through the approval process are not returnable.

Returns policy:
Please choose carefully as The Mill House is unable to provide a refund if you have changed your mind. We will of course meet all our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act.
The Consumer Guarantees Act applies to faulty goods but does not cover a change of mind.
If a product you have bought from The Mill House doesn’t meet one of the guarantees, we will repair, replace or refund the product in a reasonable time. You can find out more about your rights under the Act at http://www.consumeraffairs.govt.nz/for-consumers/law/consumer-guarantees-act.
 
If you wish to return an item because you have changed your mind, The Mill House will offer you an exchange voucher provided that:
  • You return the item within 7 days of purchase.
  • You produce your original purchase receipt at the time of return.
  • The item presented for exchange is in its original condition, unworn and with all tags attached.
  • There are no exchanges on sale items.

PAY AS YOU WEAR (Deferred payment)

Please note: This is offered on full price purchases only, not sale items.

Minimum deposit for deferred payment is 50% of total purchase transaction (not including sale items).  The remaining  balance is to be paid via stored credit card number on The Mill House premises the same date of the following month.  For example If you start a purchase on the 10 June you pay the 50% deposit and then will be charged the balance on 10 July. If payment is due to be debited on a public holiday or weekend, then the payment will be debited on the next working day.

Deferred payment has the same benefits as a normal purchase on full price garment only. We offer a seven day right of return. If you change your mind, you can return the garment, unworn and with the labels attached for an exchange or credit this does not apply to discounted items. If there is fault with the garment you have all the normal rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act.

If you lose or change your credit card you will need to advise us of any changes as soon as possible.

If payment does not go through on the date due we will contact you for an alternative means of payment. If a payment remains outstanding for 10 days the debt will be referred to a collection agency. In such cases collection fees will become payable and your credit rating could be affected.

 

Layby Terms & Conditions                    Ph:638-8924

Please note: Laybys are on full price purchases only, not sale items.

  1. No sale items can be purchased using layby.
  1. A minimum deposit of $100 or 30% of the total purchase price, whichever is the greater, is required.
  1. The layby merchandise will remain our property until the purchase price is paid in full.
  1. Laybys should not exceed 6 weeks in duration.
  1. If you cancel the layby, a $50 administration fee will be charged. Any amount paid in excess of the $50 fee will be refunded.
  1. If the sale is not completed within 6 weeks, a $50 administration fee will be charged, and the goods will be made available to other customers. Any amount paid in excess of the $50 fee will be refunded.
  1. If you wish to remove or replace items in a layby parcel, it is considered to be a cancelled layby, and a $50 administration fee will apply.
  1. Once a layby is completed, the items are unable to be exchanged or refunded. The Mill House will, of course, meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act.
